This page explains how the BowlingMaroc.com Score Book handles your personal data. For the rest of the site (contact form, audience measurement), see also the legal notice.
Who is responsible for your data?
The Score Book is published by the BowlingMaroc.com team, in association with the Association Sportive du Bowling Marocain (ASBM), Rabat, Morocco. For any question about your data, write to us through the contact form.
What data do we collect?
- Your account: email address, first name, last name (optional), country, language, time zone, password (never stored in plain text: only an Argon2id hash is kept), date you accepted the terms.
- Your bowler profile (optional): city, club, hand, style, level, year of birth, usual centre, preferences.
- Your games: dates, centres, session types, leagues and tournaments, scores, score sheets, pins, equipment and notes you enter.
- Technical security data: IP address, browser and time of sign-ins, failed sign-ins and sensitive actions (password or email changes).
Why?
- To provide the service you ask for when you create an account: saving your games, working out your stats, producing your reports (basis: the terms of use you accept).
- To protect accounts and the service against abuse (attempt limits, security log).
- To send you the emails your account needs: address verification, sign-in link, forgotten password, security alerts. No marketing emails.
Your data is never sold or passed on. The Score Book shows no advertising.
Who can access it?
Your games and stats are private: only you can see them. The technical providers that are strictly necessary can access them for that purpose only: the server host, Cloudflare (delivery and protection of the site) and Mailgun (sending emails, European Union region). No other third party.
For how long?
- Account and games: for as long as your account exists. You can delete it at any time.
- Accounts never verified: deleted automatically after 7 days.
- Security log: 12 months.
- Backups: deleted data disappears from backups within 14 days at most.
Cookies
The Score Book only uses strictly necessary technical cookies: the session cookie that keeps you signed in, a security cookie on the sign-in and sign-up forms, and a short-lived cookie to show confirmation messages. No advertising cookies. The site's audience measurement (self-hosted Matomo) produces anonymous statistics and is not used on account pages.
Your rights
Under Moroccan law no. 09-08 (and, if you live in the European Union, the GDPR), you can access, correct, object to the processing of and delete your data:
- Correct: from “My profile” and “Account settings”.
- Export all your data (JSON) or your games (CSV): from “Reports” or “Account settings”.
- Delete your account and all your data: from “Account settings”, immediately and permanently.
For any other request, use the contact form. You can also contact Morocco's data protection authority, the CNDP.
Minimum age
The Score Book is for people aged 16 and over. For younger players, a parent should create and manage the account.
Security
Encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords hashed with Argon2id, protected sessions, limits on sign-in attempts and verification of every email address. No system is foolproof: use a password that is unique to this site.
