About the MBA
The Marrakech Bowling Association, or MBA, describes itself as an association dedicated to promoting bowling in the Marrakech-Safi region. Founded by enthusiasts, it brings together about twenty regular bowlers, men and women, and has set itself three goals: running good-quality competitions, training young talent and representing Marrakech in national and international tournaments.
Its motto, “the spirit of competition”, sums up how it works: every league night counts towards the standings, and each bowler's performance is tracked week after week.
The MBA league at Bowling Almazar
The MBA bowls at Bowling Almazar, on the Ourika road, the largest bowling centre in Marrakech with 8 QubicaAMF lanes. Its league is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm. The season is split into terms of about twelve weeks; the 2026-2027 season started in September 2026.
After each week, the association publishes the standings on its website, with each bowler's average, high game and total pinfall, plus individual statistics to follow everyone's progress. The best weekly averages regularly exceed 170, and even 180. The website also has a lane draw tool to spread bowlers fairly across the lanes.
A perfect 300 game
On 7 January 2026, an MBA bowler, Rachid, rolled a perfect game: twelve strikes in a row for the maximum score of 300. He beat the association's previous record, a 257 game. To appreciate the feat, read our article on the perfect game in bowling.

At national level, the ASBM (Association Sportive du Bowling Marocain, the Moroccan Bowling Sports Association), the pioneer of bowling in Morocco since 2007, runs the Intercity Strike Cup in Rabat, which brings together bowlers from several cities.
